Chippenham Town Mayor, Cllr. Andy Phillips has launched a competition for children to design this year’s Mayoral Christmas Card.
Cllr Phillips said “Whisper it quietly - Christmas is just around the corner! That means it is time for this year's Mayor's Christmas Card Competition which is even bigger this year covering young children in nursery schools through to young adults nearing the end of their school days. There is one simple aim - design a traditional style Christmas Card promoting some aspect of the town. The winner will be invited to be my guest at the town’s Christmas Lights switch on, on Friday 23rd November”.
The winning design will be used on the Mayor’s Christmas card on behalf of Chippenham Town Council, and which will be posted to hundreds of the Council’s special contacts this festive season.
All entries will be displayed in The Yelde Hall in the lead-up to Christmas.
